Lauren Januhowski investigates the relationships between intimacy, communication and female memory through tissue. His works are born from the gesture, repetition and time of each stitch; sewing, embroidering and assembling become thought forms.
What We Invoke / What we invoke invites you to stop and observe closely. Yarn, overlapping fabrics and detail build an intimate, almost ritualistic experience, where the act of weaving works as a bridge between the visible and what is not yet shaped.
